The Massed Bands play the old marches the Black Watch and Scots Guards bands play the regimental tunes. The old battle tunes mix with the new with Crags of Tumbledown Mountain and Sands of Kuwait; the pop of Mull of Kintyre and Flower of Scotland contrast with the hymn tunes like Amazing Grace, Lords my Shepherd or the majestic Highland Cathedral; while the modern classics Journey to Skye, The Clumsy Lover and Bells of Dunblane sit well beside Pachelbels Canon. 6 World Championship winners, 3 champion solo pipers and 5 mighty regimental pipe bands guarantee an album of the very highest piping quality on 20 excellent tracks. |
